Back in 2015 MTB Beds made the move to offer a catered packages. Called Riders Weeks. they have become a mainstay of the business, we've expanded the offer to cater in chalets across Morzine, aswell as Finale Ligure. Riders Weeks are everything we would want a mountain bike holiday to be, no fuss, great food, central locations and all the facilities you would need to have a hassle free, all time mountain bike holiday.

2015 was a simpler time no doubt. No Brexit, no Covid, no worries. One thing hasn't changed, the awesome riders that come to Morzine to stay with us, so many our return guests and friends now, it's been awesome watching the project grow. Despite challenges of the last few years, we are still here and on track to where we want to be!

The first Catered Riders Week in Morzine went down a storm. With a full chalet of amazing guests, beautiful sunny weather, brilliant food and a luxury alpine property we had everything going for us.

After the wash out for the 2014 summer MTB season in Morzine, there were some concerns about hosting 3 weeks of fully catered MTB holidays with lift passes, airport transfers and great food but we went for it anyway. The first week ended on the 11th July and with a full chalet of 20 riders and perfect alpine weather, in 2015 July was really the perfect time to visit the Alps.

From the second our first guests arrived after the long drive to the last guest leaving the sun did not stop shining. We had amazing food all week cooked by professional chef Tiffany. She was the first MTB Beds chef and still has involvement in the business, consulting on training weeks each summer. Meals included BBQ rack of ribs followed by apple tarte tatin and duck confit with creme brulee.

That's one advantage of a catered MTB holiday in Morzine you don't have to lift a finger in the kitchen, everything is cooked for you. Self catered holidays in Morzine continue to be popular amongst the MTB crowd but sometimes a little luxury is always appreciated.

Shredding the gnar back in 2015

After a long day riding, clients head back to the chalet for a few cold beers, tell afew stories and fix up those bikes and bodies.

Our chalets have always aimed to have that feeling of a mountain bike lodge. Places to relax, watch afew videos or chill outside in the afternoon sun, room to work on your bike, always with a fridge full of ice cold beer.

Remember this drop!?

Pleney drop mainline MTB Summer

One of the clients sending the ski jump on Pleney Mainline, it's changed a bunch since then.

Guests have always had their favourites on the nights we don't cook. It's great to get out and see the town, eat something different and support the local community a little. L'Etale has always been popular with tourists and locals. Now places like Microbrewery Le Bec Jaune attract a good atmosphere every night.

Eating out is great but the chalet food is even better. We never operate a set menu or tell the chefs they must stick to a cook book. We employ chefs who know their craft and the best way to keep them engaged is to give them some creativity.

A week is spent at the start of each season perfecting dishes and a menu that can be executed every day of the season.

Food has always been an important part of what we do. We believe it makes all the difference, no dishes are phoned in, everything has to be done properly, making everything from scratch.

Roasted chicken with thyme, lemon, zucchini, mozzarella salad with crunchy pesto potatoes.
