So firstly what are you options for accommodation in Morzine, see below -

  • Self catered apartment or Chalet
  • Catered Chalet
  • B&B

We all know about the catered Chalet option where everything is provided for you, Continental breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes, 3 course dinner with wine etc etc, But this comes at a price and not usually a cheap one unless you can find last minute deals online.

The alternative is self catering accommodation and this is becoming a more and more popular option especially with the MTB community, Partly due to the fact that equipment is so expensive and the riders would rather spend their money on new tyres and brakes pads than have a beef bourguinon each night.

Accommodation ranges from 1/2 bed apartments to 10 bedroom luxury self catered Chalets all depending on your budget and requirements for your self catered holiday to Morzine, everyone's different! See some options below -

Prices for self catered accommodation in Morzine ranges from €400 per week all the way into the high 1000's.

Some of our Favourites are The Bombay Ski club curry house serving all the traditional favourites and they even do a €10 curry pot with rice and Garlic Nan, that's a good deal. Mummas fish and chip shop serving the obvious along side amazing noodles, Burgers, Wraps and pizzas. Then our favourite for a sit down dinner is L'Etale with amazing character and a fun vide the steak is amazing, the fondu full of flavour and the complimentary shot of Genepi make for a great meal out.

When it comes to going for a drink after riding or a bite to eat for lunch our personal favourite is Le Cottage. Based just at the bottom of Le Pleney lift you can get chicken nuggets for €5.50 or wraps for the same price. After riding all the locals head down there with cheap beers and music its a great way to finish off a days riding.

Latest mountain biking News and Events

The mountain bike trails of Le Pleney in Morzine are world famous and for very good reason. This little hill with 600 metres of elevation holds some of the most technical, steep, rooty, flat out tracks you can find anywhere in Europe, if not in the world.

So I guess the first question is, who is Fergus Ryan? I am 25 years old and I am the marketing manager for MTB Beds. I have been racing since I was 16, starting in Downhill before turning my focus to enduro 2 years ago. I love all things two-wheeled and pushing my limits both physically and mentally when it comes to racing.

A buzzing ski resort packed full of restaurants, bars and alpine culture, Morzine's restaurant scene was once a fairly drab affair in Summer, owners preferring to take the time off or open softly with a minimal menu and hours. Not so now with Summer offering new opportunities, new ingredients, new menus and new, sunny terraces breathing new life into the town. This is driven by the young generation of Morzinoise and British owners who are ready to move with the times.
