Bike Hire: Transtion Sentinel 29" Alloy

2019 Aluninium Transition Sentinel 29"

Transition Sentinel 29"

The bump guzzler, the all day epic beast, the anomaly, the 29er that shreds like a downhill bike and nimble like a, well, a bike with smaller wheels. You won't believe how capable this weapon is. A personal favourite of Transition (both of the owners ride one as their main bike) and now of MTB Beds since Roch got hold of one, this is the bike to change your mind on 29" or send you further down the rabbit hole.

Transition have thought about more than just the geometry and feel of the bike, it's ergonomic form allows function, with rattle free cable port covers, threaded BB to eliminate unnecessary creaks and praise the lord a bottle cage mount!

From Pinkbike

"The Sentinel is an absolute beast when it comes time to descend, a downright monster when the trail turns steep and rough. There are plenty of long-travel 29ers out there that can handle the Whistler Bike Park, but when it comes to tackling the steepest, chunkiest trails there aren't many that can match the Sentinel's performance. "

Built with a Sram GX Eagle drivetrain, Descendent cranks and Guide RSC 4 pot brakes as standard, we've bolted on all the best bits from our partners with Deity Components on the cockpit and DMR on the flat pedals. Of course if you'd like your own pedals just bring them with you. The suspension is looked after by Fox with the Grip2 36 and DPX Elite platforms.

Is this the start of a shift in in tempo for Morzine and the Portes du Soleil? The successful bid Les Gets made for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and World Championships could be the catalyst that changes riding in the Alps forever....

It's that time of year once again that we are working on the release of our booking dates for Morzine, Finale Ligure, Aosta and a few new resorts for next year. 2020 is proving slightly more tricky with Boris at the helm and a decision on Brexit looming.

After a pretty mental season filled with lots of travelling and exploring some of the most stunning places in Europe, it was finally time to jump on a plane and head to Canada. Although I had had some awesome in stage results in both Canazei and Les Orres, my overall results were not anything close to what I am capable of (141st & 126th). This unfortunately left me still stuck racing in the EWS 100 race which although the same format as the main event, isn't where I want to be.
