Summer is here. The lifts in and around Morzine are turning and the trails are open. We would normally be welcoming our first clients for the summer season this Saturday, unfortunately things did not work out. We’re here, but you guys aren’t and to be honest it sucks as much for us as it does for you.

If you're a mountain biker itching to get to the alps, 2021 is turning out to be about as much fun as a bath of hamsters (depends what you're into maybe), but the pandemic hasn't stopped the track builders of the Portes du Soleil cracking on with the continual levelling up of our amazing network of trails.

The mountain bike community is itching to get away to the Alps, to the mountains, beaches and bike parks across Europe. The media bounces from sensationalism to realism and it feels at least to us that it’s hard to know who is leading who, the Governments of the world, opinion polls or those that write the headlines...

Why do some riders get arm pump when others don't? Is there some kind of curse that befalls certain people that means they cannot hold on for more than afew minutes before pulling off to the side, gurning, wincing and holding their wrists in the hope it's all going to go away soon?

We figured France and Italy would go amber, but don't give up just yet, we have until June 7th to see a turn around in numbers.

The traffic light system has been launched to allow travel from the UK to foreign countries, from May 17th. Red, Amber or Green are the colours. We should know by now what each one means but just incase;

As the light at the end of of the Covid-19 tunnel gets brighter, thoughts are squared on Summer and the possibility of a a getaway. For many mountain bikers that means the Alps and that means Morzine. On current Government trajectories the opening of the ski lifts looks positive, your next question is when will they open and how much will a lift pass cost in Morzine?

We have officially been running our Ambassador Program since 2018. Each year we meet some awesome, talented riders who are not only handy on the bike but also great people who represent everything we love about the sport. When we look for riders to support their vibe off the bike is as important as on it.
