Morzine has begun it's hibernation, the trails are being worked on ready for next summer, the lifts are closed and the restaurants are busy cleaning. It's time for Netflix, carpentry and tiling for many of the Portes du Soleil locals.

If you've spent a decent amount of time in the Portes du Soleil, chances are your mind wonders to what lies beyond the bike park. Morzine and it's surrounding neighbours Les Gets, Chatel, Morgins and Champery have some of the greatest riding, and certainly some of the most beautiful terrain on the planet to ride your bike.

We have been in love with Pila for over a decade. Anyone who has been there will be too. It's the epitome of a perfect day trip and what makes Italian locations so exciting to visit. The trails are fast, beautifully thought out, maintained properly and the coffee is amazing!

A relative unknown in the mountain biking world Leo has broken the internet on more than a few occasions with his wild yet effortless style on a bike. Originally from New Zealand Leo and his sister, Veronique came over to the UK for easier access to trails and the vibrant UK mountain bike scene.

 

The 2018 French Downhill National Championships went off in dramatic fashion over the 26th - 28th of July. Weather played a huge part in the event, with the course every bit as we thought in our track check, fast, loose, with plenty of technical off camber, fresh loam and demanding steeps that became treacherous in the slippery conditions for finals!

Morzine, Le Pleney 26-28th July, It's game time! Europe and maybe the worlds most challenging, fun, rough, technical, steep and fastest hill to ride. Though known for its black mainline run, Pleney keeps the worlds best coming back year on year due to its network of secret trails scattered throughout the hillside.
