You don't appreciate a great guide until you meet one. There are alot of cowboys and cowgirls out there that claim to have what it takes but very few cut the mustard. Being a guide is much more than just knowing where the trail is and being able to ride it quicker than most punters, this is the amateur way, they'll show up without spares, a bike in bits, a mobile phone with 30% battery and pedal off at the speed they want to ride, waiting for you at the bottom.

If you're a professional, it's first and foremost a job of hospitality and safety. You are there for the client at all times to ensure they are on the kind of trails they'll enjoy and that you know to the best of your ability they will be able to get down safely. You'll know exit points on every trail, where help can get to you. They'll have a pack full of every kind of spare and get out jail zip tie they can carry, tubes, cannisters, snacks, jackets and of course a good first aid kit and the skills to use it.

We've worked with many guides and coaches over the years and will only ever trust our clients to those that we know will carry the values of MTB Beds with them, by doing the right thing for the client every turn of the pedal.

Morzine and the Portes du Soleil

We use and highly recommend Les Gets Bike School. Steven Ponting is a long time friend of MTB Beds and has been working professionally in the area since 2006. He's been our go to for every kind of coaching and guiding request, from kids looking for lessons, experts looking to improve skills to a group of enduro weapons out looking for an adventure. The Aosta Valley

We put our faith in Daniele Galimba and the team at Three Seasons Bike. He's been a part of the MTB Beds family for a few years now after first working with us in Finale Ligure. He's Aostan born and bred, after years as a coach, guide and chasing the World Cup racing dream he opened up Three Seasons Bike.

Finale Ligure

We've been working with the crew at Ride On Noli for years now, since 2016 and our first Finale Ligure Riders Weeks. We've since expanded our offering and partnership with the team, using their expertise and knowledge of Finale and Pietra Ligure's back country to offer Exclusive Tours into the hills of Mallare, Pietra, Bardinetto and beyond.

We love these guys and our relationship continues to go from strength to strength. Of course in Finale Ligure you can also call on us as guides and shuttle services, and if we have the space we'd be happy to take you on classic tours of Finale and pedal tours beyond into the lesser accessed trails that take some effort, we share the love, drop us a line or email and we'll find the best option for you.

We can arrange guiding services across Europe, Morzine, Les Gets and the Portes du Soleil, Finale Ligure, Aosta, Schladming and Leogang with a network of professional guides and coaches at our finger tips. We wouldn't trust anyone else so why would you?!

Be #ONEPEDALAHEAD with MTB Beds, book with us and in resort we'll get you hooked up with the best!

Latest mountain biking News and Events

After 8 years of operating in Europe and providing epic mountain biking holidays in world-class destinations such as Finale Ligure, Morzine and the Aosta valley we are so stoked to finally announce our merger with Tom Hutton MTB and the start of our UK operation.

You're about to book, your Morzine trip, but you don't know if your bike is the right one for the task or, you have a choice of bikes to bring....If you are in a rush and don't want to read the long version, it's fairly simple. If it's your first visit to Morzine, we'd probably plump for the downhill bike. You'll be giddy to hit up those gnarly bike park laps and you don't need to stray far from the lifts to have a blast. Does it limit the trails I can ride if I only have a downhill bike? Yes, the downhill bike will be hard work on the enduro trails.

You don't want to fly and and you don't want to drive. How else can you get the the Alps? Unless you are going to ride your bike there a train is the alternative. It's something different and has quite afew benefits over driving or flying to Morzine.

You're probably only going to take this option if access to the Eurostar service from London Pancras is easy for you. It's here you'll need to set off from, first hitting Paris Gare de Nord, then onto Paris Gare de Lyon then onto Geneva or Cluses, then Morzine.
